Throughout British history, the rose has been a firm symbol depicting houses, most famously York and Lancaster with the white and red roses respectively. In the year 1455, war broke out between the two feuding families which would later be called the War of the Roses. War ended after Henry VII was crowed King, marrying Elizabeth of York in 1486 combining the two families and roses together to create the infamous Tudor Rose. This rose has since become know as ‘the flower of England’ and is today the country’s national flower. Depicted here on a house number sign, the iconic blossoming rose sits upon an oval sign which can hold up to three large white numbers. Crafted from high quality iron and finished in a sleek midnight black, this house sign will complement any exterior home style.Â
